The music of Fathom Down is described differently by its broad fan base; from those who recognize it as hard rock, to those who accept it as alternative and those who welcome it as metal meditation, whatever genre the music is categorized into is not as
significant as noting that the music of Fathom Down is said to be special. This music strikes a chord in hearts and resonates there.  Fathom Down’s great sound can be attributed to the chemistry
of its band members, who, in all aspects of life, work hard, play hard and create hard rock for hard times. Yet, the rich, deep expanse of sound can also be credited to the amount of work and
standard of excellence that went into it. But it must also be said that this music is pure, and that is due to where it was first formed, in the hearts of those who created it. The sound is as diverse as the band members themselves, from the oldest in his 50’s to the youngest in his 20’s; each of these men causes a style, sound, voice, and desire that produce this unique quality of sound.  They add layers upon layers to each other, whilecomplimenting and extrapolating what is in their souls. From the guts and quiet places inside them, to where it was enhanced by each of them, furthered into the crisp, clear, intricate sound that results.. The music is polished.  It cannot be described or measured only in words, this is music the heart hears and understands. It is best felt by being heard.
